Birch Bark Kennel's History

The kennel was established in Aldergrove, BC in 1975 – we're proud to say that we have 40 years of experience in boarding kennels and in transportation to and from Vancouver and Abbotsford airports.

We gladly provide boarding for any and all pets, including dogs, cats, and exotics. We provide gentle shampoos and, if necessary, a healthy flea bath to all pets. We promise that your pet will leave just as clean, if not cleaner, than when they arrived. Additionally, on-site grooming is available with special rates for those vacationing with us.

Our Standards

We take pride in the quality of care we offer you and your pets. Our large facility features 100 square feet of clean, spacious, covered outdoor kennel for each visitor, and our covered outdoor and heated indoor runs provide our guests with the opportunity to exercise as much as they please. We even have a special, in-home geriatric care facility for ageing pets – we make sure they receive the special love and care they've come to expect at home.

Hours and Availability

We are open from 8am to 7:30pm seven days each week, 362 days per year. (We are closed to the public for pick-up or drop-off on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day.)
